VMware Cloud Servers

VMware cloud servers guarantee a high uptime. Because when one server is in trouble, other machines are immediately ready to take over the work.

Scalability and flexibility are additional advantages: with a simple push on a button, you can expand the CPU, memory or storage to your specific needs.

We use virtualisation technology by VMware, the market leader in regard to virtualisation and cloud technology. VMware’s technology still offers the broadest possibilities and delivers the most stabile results. This allows us to offer a number of guarantees for our VMware Cloud Servers.

Uptime

A VMware cloud server has an Uptime Level Agreement of 99.97%. This means that the server will be unavailable for no more than 13.2 minutes per month. Moreover, the VMware Cloud Server features the Distributed Resource Scheduler. This monitors the load of all cloud servers and distributes them. In this manner, there is a balance in the distribution and you will not experience overloading in the cloud. Do you require an even higher uptime? Check what our multi-datacenter solution can do for you.

Redundant data

The VMware cloud servers don’t have data storage themselves, only CPUs and memory. Data is stored on the storage area networks (SANs). These have been especially designed for storing data quickly. If a node fails, the data does not have to be copied first in order to start up a different node. The SANs will determine themselves how ‘hot’ your data is. Frequently requested data will fully automatically be stored on faster storage/cache.

Security

Your server is located in one of our highly secured datacentres. Moreover, we take care of security on all levels. Together with you, we determine which specific security measures are relevant for you. Have a detailed look at our cloud security.

Snapshot Back-ups

We regularly take a snapshot back-up of your VMware Cloud Server, which is stored in a different data centre. You choose the storage duration and the plan of your back-ups. We’d like to help you in working out a back-up strategy that suits you best.

Flexibility

You’re in control. At any given moment, you determine the amount of CPUs, the number of gigabytes of memory and the storage capacity that you require. Discover how we take care of scalability.

Separate servers

Client networks (VLANs) separate the traffic from, to and between your servers, from the other traffic in the cloud. You can also use IPSEC VPNs between your office network and the client network in the VMware cloud. Consequently, your LAN is directly and securely unlocked in the cloud.
