The online backupservice gets updated automatically every night between 1.00 and 3.00 AM. If this automatic update fails it is possible to start the update yourself.

1. Download update
For business backup one can use the following link:
Nucleus Business Back-up Update (Windows)
Nucleus Business Back-up Update (Linux, *NIX)

Download the file and save it somewhere local.

2. Stop Software
Turn off the backup software. Make sure every instance of the software has been shut down.

The backupsoftware contains some services running in the background. These serices are responsible for executing scheduled backups and auto updating the software. Also these services should be shut down.

You can do this via Start > Run > services.msc.

Here one should stop the following services(right mouse click > Stop):
Online Backup Scheduler (Nucleus Business Backup)
AutoUpdateAgent (Nucleus Business Backup)
Continuous Data Protection

3. Perform update
Open the downloaded file, this is a compressed ZIP archive which can be opened using following software: Winzip, WinRAR, 7zip, …

Copy all files in /bin/ from the downloaded file to the /bin/ directory where the software has been installed. (Default: C:/Program Files/Nucleus Business Backup/bin/).

Overwrite all files when asked to do so.

4. Restart backup
Restart the 2 services you have previously shut down(step 2)through Start > Run > services.msc. The following services should be started:
Online Backup Scheduler (Nucleus Business Backup)
AutoUpdateAgent (Nucleus Business Backup)
Continuous Data Protection

Now you can restart the management software through Start > Programs > Nucleus Business Backup. You will not be asked to update the software as already is fully updated.
