To test a Nucleus Universal Groupware account, you have two options. You can use an e-mail address that we provide, in the form of “email@example.com”, or you can try our service with a domain name of your own, such as “firstname.lastname@example.org”.
If you choose for the first option, a personal e-mail address that we provide, you will receive the necessary information from us to use the extensive webmail client and to configure your e-mail client to receive your e-mails.
If you choose for the 2nd option, to test our Universal Groupware on a domain of your own, we need to change the MX-records of your domain. This means that all e-mail going to your domain, will be diverted to our Universal Groupware servers, to be processed further. It’s impossible to do this only for 1 e-mail address, because of the way DNS and MX-records work.
Every existing e-mail address will have to be created on our Universal Groupware servers, to insure a non-stop e-mail stream. The e-mail clients will also have to be adjusted, to remember the new username and password.
If you own a domain name with many e-mail addresses, it’s advisable to test our Universal Groupware service with an e-mail address that we provide, to quickly and easily test out all the different options.
