If you are using a Linux Webhosting, or your own Linux Server, you can use the Apache .htaccess file and the mod_rewrite module to dynamically rewrite the URL of your visitor.

You can create a “.htaccess” file in your webroot, the httpdocs directory, with the following content:

Options +FollowSymlinks
RewriteEngine on
# Add the WWW prefix to the domain if it's missing
RewriteCond %{http_host} ^domain.be [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.domain.be/$1 [R=301,NC]

In the example above, you can replace the “domain.be” and “www.domain.be” with your own domain name.
